This project is based on the book Telephone by Percival Everett.

My focus was on designing a cover and the inside layout of the book as well and to do so I have been relying on what the book makes me visually imagine. Given the sunny and sandy location and the story

I felt a great contrast between warm a scenery and a dark theme.

This is the design language I have tried to follow along with elements represent the main character's occupation.
